A comprehensive, clinic-based training course combining in-depth theory with hands-on practical experience. Designed for medical and aesthetic professionals looking to safely and confidently deliver intravenous therapy within their scope of practice.

Format

• Theory and practical training are delivered at our clinic in Widford, Ware.

• Prerequisites: A qualification in intramuscular injections or microneedling is required. A phlebotomy qualification is preferred but not essential.

• Training is provided on a one-to-one basis to ensure personalised instruction, close supervision and maximum practical experience.

• Overview of IV therapy and its clinical applications

• Vitamins, minerals and compounds used in IV drips

• Popular IV formulations: hydration, immunity, energy, skin brightening

• Anatomy of the venous system and vein selection

• Cannulation technique and IV line management

• Fluid rates, drip duration and monitoring

• Client consultation and medical history screening

• Contraindications and when not to treat

• Recognising and managing complications

• Anaphylaxis awareness and emergency procedures

• Legal framework, scope of practice and prescribing considerations
